Just wanted to say many thanks for the excellent H&S training you provided us with last Thursday and yesterday. All 4 of us agree that although we have had a number of refresher courses over a significant number of years of teaching, this was by far the best and most comprehensive.

 We will not hesitate to get you back in again when the need next arises.

It has had a dramatic impact on our practice here are the Bridge Achievement Centre. Our health and safety processes have moved from a cumbersome format to a much slicker operation that covers everything from maintenance to classroom practices. We have already implemented some of the practical elements within lessons and will continue to do so when and wherever possible. Having last completed DATA training five years ago I found your training invaluable. It was tailored for our needs with the added benefit of completing it within our workshop environment. I recommend Practical Training Ltd without reserve and that any DT practitioner undertake a similar level of training, a more enriching learning experience available to learners will follow.

I just wanted to thank you for a very thorough two day course. It was made so that we couldn't get bored or restless as we were hands on making things but still reminding us at the same time of all the safety issues that need to be with us at all times!

It was a pleasure working with someone with 'old school' skills and good safety knowledge.

I would like to say a huge thank-you for the Health and Safety Training you provided over two days. The training was interesting, informative and really enjoyable. The experience gave me a hands on experience of creating a product whilst learning to use the machines and tools within the workshop in the correct and safe manner. Overall the two days gave me an opportunity to understand the importance of safety in and around the workshop which has given me the knowledge to pass on to our students. Thank-you as I am now much wiser and more aware of risks that could arise within the environment and am more able to identify those risks and rectify any problems.

“I attended the day course for BS4163 Health & Safety for DT in Schools. As a Learning  Mentor I found the course extremely informative and interesting it was delivered in an informal manner which made it easier to engage.

 

Actually making a product whilst going through the processes and equipment  used as well as the  Health and Safety issues involved made it easier to understand and worked really well.

 

Also knowing  there would be a completed product to take away with at the end of the day was really motivating.

 

I know this will make me far more effective when supporting students within the workshop.
